LOL? = “Laughing out Loud” or “Lots of Love” (mom's version of LOL)
Dad has joined the texting revolution. He even traded in his Motorola Razor flip phone for a new touch phone with a slide out keyboard! Mom thinks she is technologically challenged and has not yet joined the texting world, but we all know it is only a matter of time. There is no one who can online shop better than mom and we all know she can’t function without her E-MAIL.
Background - Herb recently had an accident totalling our Dodge Durango during torential rain on the 125 foot Zilwaukee Bridge over the Saginaw River. Thank God he was safe and uninjured, can't say the same for the Durango. Nevertheless, we were able to purchase a new vehicle - a Chevy Equinox (not a gas guzzler)! Purchase went through just hours before our summer road trip to Florida.
Me: (Texting a picture of the Equinox) Our new ride! Off to FL :) Show mom too, love you guys
Me: (on our very long drive, somewhere...) Have you ever seen cows standing in water? Like a pond?
Dad: Yes, especially when it is very hot!
Me: lol
Dad: Is that lots of love or lots of laughs?
Me: BOTH!
Dad: Hows the new car? Mom says Nuke was glad to see you! Hope he feels the same when when he flies back lake August. Everything here going well. Well my fingers are getting tired so we will talk to you later. Love Y a Dad!
Me: Thanks 4 the text! Hoping for a beach day tomorrow ;) love you
Me: On our way to Orlando. Thinkin of you guys… how’s Aunt J like the condo?
Dad: She thinks its wonderful. She and mom are out burning the rubber off the wheel chair. Opal and I got hot. Thunderstorms this AM then cleared off hot but looks like more tonight. A Jane doing surprisingly well with stairs. Have a good time and say hi to Mickey. Love ya DAD
Me: Glad shes likin it! Good thing you brought the wheels. Tell the girls and Rocky I say hi. BTW we are usin Gomez (the GPS) right now ;)
